Terms and Conditions
Last Updated: August 14, 2026
1. Introduction
These Academy Terms and Conditions (the "Academy Terms") govern bookings for Seoul Beauty Global training courses (the "Academy"). They apply in place of our general Terms and Conditions, which govern bookings for beauty and clinic services.
1.1 Acceptance
- By booking an Academy training course, you agree to be bound by these Academy Terms and by the Academy Cancellation and Refund Policy.
- If you do not agree with any part of these Academy Terms, please do not book a training course.
1.2 Relationship to Our Other Terms
- Bookings for beauty and clinic services on the Platform remain governed by our general Terms and Conditions and general Cancellation and Refund Policy. Booking a training course does not change the terms that apply to your service reservations, and vice versa.
- All personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which applies across the Platform.
2. Eligibility
You may book a training course if you have the legal capacity to enter into a contract and can attend in person in Korea. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.
2.1 Age and Legal Capacity
- You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) to book a training course.
- By booking, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
2.2 Account
- A training course booking requires a Platform account. You may register by email or third-party social login.
- We do not perform official real-name verification. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, including the participant's name.
2.3 Participation in Person
- Training courses are delivered in person in the Republic of Korea. Attendance is required in person on the confirmed training dates.
- A booking is made for a named participant. Transferring your booking to another person requires our prior written agreement.
2.4 Communication Responsibility
- Official requests relating to your booking — cancellation, refund, or schedule change — must be submitted through the Contact Page or our Official Email. Requests sent via social media DMs or personal contacts are not treated as official communications.
- You must provide and maintain a valid email address. Confirmation notices, payment requests, and schedule changes are sent by email, and deadlines in these Academy Terms run from the time those emails are sent.
3. Our Role and the Training Relationship
We coordinate your training and handle your payments. The training itself is delivered by independent providers, and this section explains what each of us is responsible for.
3.1 What We Provide
- Seoul Beauty Global provides a coordination service: we review your goals in consultation, match you with training providers, arrange your curriculum, secure your training dates, and handle payment and communication throughout.
- Training itself is delivered by independent training providers, which may be businesses listed on our Platform or businesses outside it.
3.2 Assignment of Training Providers
- Training providers are assigned by us as part of the coordination service, based on your goals, your requested dates, and provider availability. You are told which providers will deliver each day of your training before your schedule is confirmed.
- Where a provider becomes unavailable, we may assign a different provider of comparable standing. We will notify you, and Section 8 of the Academy Cancellation and Refund Policy applies.
3.3 Limits on What We Guarantee
- We do not guarantee any particular commercial outcome, employment, client base, or level of skill arising from a training course.
- We are not a medical institution and do not provide medical advice. Where a course covers procedures with clinical elements, all decisions to perform or receive any procedure are made at your sole discretion and that of the training provider.
3.4 Scope of Payments We Handle
- For Academy bookings, we collect both the deposit and the remaining balance. This differs from beauty and clinic service reservations, where only the deposit is paid to the Platform.
- We are responsible for the amounts you pay to us and for settling with training providers. You are not asked to pay training providers directly.
4. Booking and Confirmation
A training booking is made in two steps. You pay a deposit to start, and your schedule is confirmed after a consultation. The point of confirmation matters, because it changes your refund position.
4.1 How a Booking Is Made
- You select a course, submit your requested start dates and any goals or notes, and pay the deposit online. Your booking is created at that point with the status Pending.
- Paying the deposit does not confirm any training dates. It secures your place in the coordination process.
4.2 Consultation
- Every booking includes a consultation with our academy team, held online. The consultation is used to review your goals, adjust the course or level where appropriate, and agree your training dates.
- Missing a scheduled consultation does not forfeit your deposit. Our team will contact you to arrange another time. Repeated non-attendance is addressed in Section 7.2 of the Academy Cancellation and Refund Policy.
4.3 Schedule Confirmation
- Your schedule is confirmed when both your training dates and your course curriculum have been agreed with you and confirmed by our academy team. You receive a confirmation email at that point.
- Dates outside those you originally requested may be proposed where provider availability requires it. Such dates become part of your confirmed schedule only with your agreement.
- Schedule confirmation is the point from which the deposit becomes non-refundable. See Section 3 of the Academy Cancellation and Refund Policy.
4.4 Changes After Confirmation
- Where the course, dates, providers, or price of a confirmed booking change, we will notify you by email with the updated details.
- Your rights on a change you do not accept are set out in the Academy Cancellation and Refund Policy.
5. Fees and Payment
An Academy booking is paid in two parts, both to us. All amounts are set and charged in US Dollars.
5.1 Two Payments
- An Academy booking is paid in two parts: the deposit, paid online at the time of booking, and the remaining balance, payable after your schedule is confirmed.
- The remaining balance is the total course price minus the deposit. The total course price is set when your schedule is confirmed and is stated in your confirmation email.
5.2 The Deposit
- The deposit is a fixed amount shown before checkout, charged online at the time of booking. Bank transfer is not available for the deposit.
- The deposit is consideration for our coordination service.
- Where the course or level agreed in consultation differs from the one you originally selected, the deposit is not recalculated. It is applied in full against the total course price.
5.3 The Remaining Balance
- The remaining balance may be paid online or by bank transfer to our designated foreign currency account. Where you pay by bank transfer, your payment is recorded once our team confirms receipt.
- Payment is due within 10 days of schedule confirmation, or by the day before your training begins, whichever is earlier. The exact due date is stated in your confirmation email.
- If the balance is not paid by the due date, we will contact you before releasing your reserved dates. Bookings are not cancelled automatically for non-payment.
5.4 Currency
- Academy prices are set and charged in US Dollars (USD). The amount you are charged does not vary with exchange rate movements between booking and payment.
- Any fees charged by your bank or card issuer, including international transfer and cross-border fees, are your responsibility.
5.5 What the Price Includes
- The total course price covers tuition and the materials and equipment use specified in the course description.
- Travel to and from Korea, accommodation, local transport, meals, insurance, and visa or entry costs are not included.
6. Cancellation, Refunds, and Withdrawal
Cancellation terms for training courses differ from those for beauty and clinic reservations, because we hold the full course fee rather than a deposit alone. The detail sits in a separate policy.
6.1 Refund Policy
- Cancellations and refunds are governed by the Academy Cancellation and Refund Policy, which forms part of these Academy Terms.
- In summary: the deposit is refunded in full before your schedule is confirmed and is non-refundable after; the remaining balance is refunded on a sliding scale based on how far in advance of your training start date you cancel.
6.2 Statutory Withdrawal Period
- Korean law gives consumers a right to withdraw from an online purchase within seven days, subject to statutory exclusions. Those exclusions apply to Academy bookings, and we set out how and why in Section 5 of the Academy Cancellation and Refund Policy.
- Please read that Section before paying, as it affects your ability to withdraw from each of the two payments.
7. Delivery of Training
Training runs on the dates and at the venues confirmed to you. This section covers how it is delivered and what is expected of you while you are there.
7.1 Schedule and Venue
- Training is delivered on the dates confirmed to you, at the venues stated in your confirmation email. Where training runs over several days, different days may take place at different venues.
- We will notify you of any change to a confirmed venue or provider as soon as we are able.
7.2 Language
- Training is delivered in English, or in Korean with English interpretation, as stated in the course description.
7.3 Attendance and Conduct
- Training providers may set reasonable attendance, punctuality, hygiene, and conduct requirements. You are expected to follow the instructions of the training provider throughout.
- Where your conduct puts the safety of others at risk, or materially disrupts the training of other participants, the training provider or we may end your participation. No refund is issued in that event.
7.4 Recording of Attendance
- Attendance is recorded by the training provider and is used to determine eligibility for a certificate under Section 9.
8. Training Materials, Recording, and Intellectual Property
Course materials and the techniques taught belong to us or to the training provider. You are free to use what you learn in your own work, but not to reproduce it or teach it onward.
8.1 Ownership
- All training materials — manuals, handouts, presentations, product and technique documentation, and any digital resources — remain the property of Seoul Beauty Global or the relevant training provider.
- Techniques and methods taught during a course may be protected by intellectual property rights held by the training provider.
8.2 Your Licence
- You may use training materials for your own learning and for your own professional practice.
- You may not reproduce, publish, distribute, sell, or share training materials with any third party, whether in original or adapted form.
8.3 Photography and Recording
- Photography or video recording during training requires the prior consent of the training provider. Where consent is given, it is for your personal study only.
- Publishing, broadcasting, or otherwise making available any recording of training — including on social media — is not permitted without our prior written agreement.
8.4 No Onward Teaching
- Completing a course does not grant you the right to teach the course, or a derivative of it, to others, whether commercially or otherwise, or to present yourself as an authorised instructor of Seoul Beauty Global or of any training provider.
8.5 Your Image
- We and training providers may photograph or film training sessions for our own promotional purposes. Where you appear identifiably in such material, we will seek your consent before using it, and you may withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us.
9. Certificate of Completion
A certificate is issued when you complete a course, jointly by us and the provider that delivered your training. It records that you attended and completed the course, and nothing more.
9.1 Issuance
- On completion of a course, a certificate of completion is issued in your name jointly by Seoul Beauty Global and the training provider who delivered the course. It confirms your participation arranged through our Platform and the provider's delivery of the training.
- A certificate is issued where you have paid in full and attended the course. Where attendance is materially incomplete, a certificate may be withheld.
9.2 What a Certificate Is Not
- A certificate of completion records that you attended and completed the course. It is not a national or government-recognised qualification, and it does not itself grant any licence, registration, or right to practise in Korea or in any other country.
- It does not certify clinical or technical competency, and issuing it does not make Seoul Beauty Global the provider of the training or of its educational content.
- Requirements to practise professionally differ between countries and are your responsibility to establish.
9.3 Replacement
- Requests for a replacement certificate may be made by contacting our support team.
10. Health, Safety, and Practical Sessions
Courses include hands-on practice, and depending on the course that practice may involve other people. Safety at the venue is the training provider's responsibility; telling them about your own health conditions is yours.
10.1 Practical Work
- Courses include practical sessions. Depending on the course, you may practise on a model, on another participant, or on equipment, and another participant may practise on you.
- Participation in practical work on or by another person is voluntary. Tell the training provider before the session begins if you do not wish to take part in that way.
10.2 Your Disclosure Duty
- You are responsible for disclosing to the training provider, before training begins, any allergy, skin sensitivity, medical condition, pregnancy, or medication that may affect your safe participation.
- We do not collect or monitor medical information, though we may hold health-related information you choose to provide in your booking notes or in messages to our team.
10.3 Responsibility for Safety on Site
- The training provider is responsible for safe conditions at the training venue, for the suitability and hygiene of equipment and products, for supervising practical work, and for obtaining any consent required from models.
- Seoul Beauty Global is not a party to the practical work carried out during training and is not liable for injury arising from it, subject to Section 15.
10.4 Assumption of Risk
- Beauty and clinical techniques carry inherent risks, including when performed under supervision in a training setting. You acknowledge those risks in taking part.
11. Permitted and Prohibited Use
To keep training safe and fair for everyone, you agree not to use the Platform or your course materials in the ways set out below.
11.1 Prohibited Activities
- Providing false, misleading, or fraudulent information when booking, including as to the identity of the participant.
- Reselling or transferring a booking without our prior written agreement.
- Reproducing or redistributing training materials, or teaching course content onward, contrary to Section 8.
- Using automated systems to access, crawl, or harvest data from the Platform.
- Any activity that interferes with the Platform's security or technical infrastructure.
12. Travel Documents and Entry to Korea
You are responsible for obtaining the documents you need to enter Korea and attend your training.
12.1 Your Responsibility
- You are solely responsible for obtaining and holding the travel documents required to enter the Republic of Korea, and for meeting entry requirements applicable to you.
- We are not responsible for any inability to attend training arising from entry refusal, document problems, or travel disruption. Refund treatment in those circumstances is set out in the Academy Cancellation and Refund Policy.
13. Termination
We may suspend your access or decline future bookings where your conduct gives us reason to, while protecting refunds you have already earned.
13.1 Suspension and Termination
- We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform, or decline future bookings, where you breach these Academy Terms, provide fraudulent payment information, or behave in a way that endangers or harasses participants, training providers, or our staff.
- Termination does not affect refund entitlements already accrued under the Academy Cancellation and Refund Policy.
14. Indemnification
You agree to hold Seoul Beauty Global harmless from claims arising out of your own conduct during training or your use of course materials.
14.1 Your Obligations
- You agree to indemnify and hold Seoul Beauty Global harmless from claims, losses, or damages arising from your breach of these Academy Terms, your conduct during training, or your use of training materials contrary to Section 8.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we limit our financial liability for a training booking to the amount you have actually paid us for it.
15.1 Financial Limit
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of these Academy Terms or an Academy booking shall not exceed the total amount you have actually paid to Seoul Beauty Global for the booking that gave rise to the claim, being the deposit and the remaining balance together.
15.2 Excluded Damages
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including loss of profit, loss of business opportunity, or costs of travel and accommodation booked in connection with training.
15.3 What This Section Does Not Limit
- Nothing in these Academy Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, and any liability arising from our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
16. Communication Security
You are responsible for your own account security, and for not sending sensitive documents through Platform messaging.
16.1 Advisory
- Do not share payment card details or identification documents through Platform messaging or booking notes.
- While we apply industry-standard security measures, you are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
17. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, and this section sets out what happens to your booking in that situation.
17.1 Included Events
We are not liable for delay or failure in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including:
- Natural disasters (earthquakes, typhoons, floods, or other acts of God)
- War, terrorism, civil unrest, or strikes
- Public health emergencies, epidemics, or government-imposed restrictions
- Failures of utilities, internet service providers, or telecommunications networks
17.2 Effect on Bookings
- Where such an event prevents training from taking place, we will offer alternative dates. Refund treatment where alternative dates are not possible is set out in the Academy Cancellation and Refund Policy.
18. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Academy Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts for any dispute.
18.1 Legal Framework
- These Academy Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
- Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Republic of Korea.
- Where you are resident in a country whose law gives you protections that cannot be excluded by agreement, those protections continue to apply to you.
19. General Provisions
These standard provisions keep the rest of these Academy Terms workable and set out how we may change them.
19.1 Standard Clauses
- Amendments: We may update these Academy Terms. We will give reasonable advance notice of material changes before they take effect. Bookings already confirmed remain governed by the Academy Terms in effect at the time of confirmation.
- Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining Academy Terms remain in effect.
